Abstract Objectives The present research investigates how coaches' identity leadership predicts individual and team outcomes in soccer. Specifically, we tested hypotheses that would be associated with players' perceptions of (a) higher effort, (b) lower turnover intentions, (c) better performance, (d) performance. In addition, aimed to examine the relationship between increased identification players degree which associations these various were mediated by strength identification.
